Rowan's first foray into solids

Rowan tried avocado for the first time, being all gung-ho about getting the food into his mouth (top photo). Then he tasted it (middle photo). Despite his repeated gumming of numerous spoonfuls of avocado, very little of it, if any, actually got into his stomach. And so it remains. Since then, he's tried banana (hates it) and pear (indifferent), though nothing could possibly compare to his bright pink spoon, which he likes to chew till the cows come home (bottom photo). Don't get us wrong, though, for all you naysayers out there. We don't condone his using the spoon as a chew toy, instead trying to get him to see at as a useful tool for eating new, more substantive foods. Yeah, we're probably fucked.

avocado - persist with this! My girls LOVE avocado now and eat 1/2 an avocado nearly daily. It's got all the nutrients they need so even if the rest of the day was spent eating junk, Mummy has done a good job hahaahhahaha

Lovely pictures!
We wish you a happy new year!

Right now,Xin a dear friend and collegue from Pelles old researchgroup and her two children, Alexander/Rei Long, 8 years old and a good pianist - and Lisa/Rei Tie (? a water flower)
went home after a day together.

Love from Klara in Sweden where we feel the sun slowly returning (us returning to the sun)

He's probably thinking of the foie gras that Pete gave him a while ago instead...
