Sup-yi (Auntie 12) had her birthday in recent months, so we celebrated with a muffin. Rowan cannot wait to blow out that candle.
Sometimes it's hard being 2 years old.
I believe at this point Rowan realizes that the joke is on him.

This is Rowan approaching 2 1/2 years. It's amazing how much he has changed, especially his face. Some of the chubbiness that used to surround his cheeks has disappeared, and he has a new kind of brightness in his eyes that suggests a continual amazement with the world.
And now he's beating a mound of snow with a stick--Baba's massively failed attempt at making a snowman. Next time I'll use trash bags to make it.
Rowan loves to draw, as you know. So when we got him this outdoor chalk, he went to town on our driveway. Here he tests out his two-hand technique. What is it, Rowan? "Airplane!"
